I am so freakin' excited.

I can't wait till this comes out. (Note: I think some of you aren't seeing my links? Click on the word "this" in the sentence.)

Eight more days to go.

Can I hold out, is the question? I already asked Daryl if he would take me next Friday. I had to plant the seed.

Even though he obviously has not read the books he is fine with going to see it. One thing he is not eager for is having to sit in a theater with a bunch of blubbering love-struck teenage girls (and 20-35 year old swooning crazy older chicks, like me, LOL).

Meanwhile, me? I'm just as excited as I have been for each Harry Potter movie to come out! (Ooh, that reminds me...the new Harry Potter movie will be coming out soon too! Sweet! Update: Those bastards tricked us! I originally kept hearing that it was coming out end of this year. Now it looks like HP is not coming out till July 2009. Bummer.)

Anyway, I just finished re-reading (for the 2nd time) the entire Twilight series. I am seriously good to go. Are any of you ladies just as eager as me??? What is our fascination, I wonder? What holds us all so engrossed in the characters lives, their story?

Oh, right, vampires are dead-sexy.

She said 'dead' lol

You're full of puns today!

FYI, Cathy, Brenda, Vizma and I are talking abot a girls night to see it if you didn't want to subject Daryl to the girlyness :)

BUT it won't be on opening night - it wont be like for another week or so. Not sure if you can handle that ;)

I'm almost scared to see it! I love the books so much if the movie isn't good I'm gonna be ticked. LOL I'm on book three...it was so easy to get sucked into them I finished the first one in two nights. I know we'll wait to go see it because I would hate to slap someone making noise while I'm trying to concentrate. A crowded theater drives me nuts. (not that I'd really slap someone, but I sure have wanted to)

I'm feeling like the only one in the world that has not read the series!! I know many people say that they don't like vampires, etc. and read them and really like them, so maybe I should just pick them up!! Maybe it will be a Christmas break read? I have too much to read with school right now. :) Hope you are having a nice week!!

I agree that vamps are dead sexy...I *still* haven't read the series though...I just haven't had time to get the books and then read them. I REALLY want to though.

Really? This is the first I've heard of Twilight. Is it that much of a chick thing?

Every time I see posts like these I just can't believe that I haven't read the series yet. I'd better get my butt in gear!

Vamps are DROP DEAD SEXY...in my mind that is. I am so excited to see this film too. Making it a girls afternoon delight! Although I already know that the Edward in my HEAD is much hotter than the big screen Edward, but then again, we can only expect a Mortal to play this man. LOL

Glad Big D is going to take one for the team. 7 more days!

I had never heard of these books until the flair started showing up on Facebook, ha! I LOVED Buffy & Angel, so I'm guess I'd like these too. I'm thinking I will have to send David to the library for me when we get settled to get them for me, for when I'm bed ridden and uncomfortable, and all I can concentrate on is fluff.

Amy-You will LOVE the Twilight Series if you love Buffy and Angel (I think you were the one who spotted my Buffy dvd-collection in the background of a pic before LOL). Definitely borrow them from the library! And then once the movie comes out, you can netflix it and watch from the comforts of home. ;-)

I just finished my second time through too! I can't wait for the movie and am trying to convince the husband to take me!

Milo said...

Well, you guys got me curious. I might have to pick up the first of the series soon. I have read some of the Anne Rice vampire stories.

So I haven't gotten into the Twilight series. Maybe I should, though, especially since I love Harry Potter?

sounds lame to me so lame and thanks everyone for letting me in on the fact this is a chick flick i was suckered again

April said...

It's not a chick flick, DARYL!! LOL

And Milo, just a warning, there IS a background love story BUT it's not romance or anything...the main character Bella falls in love with a vampire. So if you are secure in your manhood to read (unlike my hubby? lol) do it!! :-)

you are lucky - my husband absolutely refuses to go see this - my son said he would go with me though!!
